REALTOR® Member
As a real estate licensee, you are required to belong to a Board of REALTORS® if you wish to refer to yourself as a REALTOR®. REALTOR® (principal) Members, whether primary or secondary, shall be individuals licensed with the Florida Real Estate Commission as Active Brokers or are registered, licensed, or certified by an appropriate state of Florida regulatory agency to engage in the appraisal of real property who, as sole proprietors, partners, or corporate officers, or branch office managers are actively engaged in the real estate profession, including buying, selling, exchanging, renting, or leasing, managing, appraising for others for compensation, building, developing or subdividing real estate, and who maintain or are associated with an established real estate office in the state of Florida or a state contiguous thereto, shall qualify for REALTOR® Membership only, and each is required to hold REALTOR® Membership (except as provided in the following paragraph) in a board of REALTORS® within the state of Florida or a state contiguous thereto unless otherwise qualified for Institute Affiliate Membership.
In the case of a real estate firm, partnership, or corporation, whose business activity is substantially all commercial, only those principals actively engaged in the real estate business in connection with the same office, or any other offices within the jurisdiction of the board in which one of the firm's principals holds REALTOR® membership, shall be required to hold REALTOR® membership unless otherwise qualified for Institute Affiliate Membership.
Secondary REALTOR® Member
Secondary members are REALTORS® who hold primary membership with another association and want to have access to the services offered by the Naples Area Board of REALTORS®.
MLS
MLS membership is available to any real estate agent who is currently a REALTOR® member of NABOR® or another board of REALTORS®.
BUSINESS PARTNER (Allied) Member
NABOR® isn't just for professionals in real estate. It's for every business that wants to reach the area's largest professional network and customer base. Allied Members shall be actively involved in the real estate transaction as primary service providers to a property transaction and shall be from Allied industries and professions. These Allied industries and professions are limited to: Attorneys, Bankers, Builder/Developers, Mortgage Brokers, and Title Companies. Membership is available only to individuals and is open only to individuals who are a sole proprietor, partner, or corporate officer of a company in the industry and/or profession specified or are licensed by the appropriate agency of the state of Florida for the industry and/or profession specified. Individuals from these industries and professions meeting the above criteria shall qualify for Allied Membership and shall not qualify for Affiliate Membership. Allied Members shall have the right to vote and to hold office as prescribed in NABOR®'s bylaws but may not use the term REALTOR®. Allied Members are not members of the Florida Association of REALTORS® or of the National Association of REALTORS®.
business partner (Affiliate) Member
Any businesses that provides goods or services that homebuyers want and need are invited to become affiliate members. Affiliate Members shall be Advertisers, Architects, Community Association, Computer Consultants, Educators, Engineers, Furniture Companies, Graphic Designers, Home Inspection Companies, Home Warranty, Hotel/Hospitality, Insurance Companies, Interior Designers, Land Use Planners, Landscapers, Media, Moving Companies, Pest Control Companies, Photographers, Printing Companies, Publishers, Suppliers, Surveyors, Security and others who, have interests requiring information concerning real estate and are in sympathy with the objectives of NABOR®. An Affiliate shall not vote, hold elective office in NABOR®, nor use the term “REALTOR®”. Affiliate Members are not members of the Florida Association of REALTORS® or of the National Association of REALTORS®.
Unlicensed Clerical Staff
Unlicensed Clerical Staff are administration support for a REALTOR® and will only have access to MLS services. Unlicensed clerical staff are not Members of NABOR®, as they are not licensed real estate professionals.
